Objective:
  • Experimental vs. Theoretical Probability
Classwork:

  • Students discuss experimental probability and compare it to theoretical probability:
    • Theoretical probability is what we expect to happen, where experimental probability is what actually happens when we try it out. The probability is still calculated the same way, using the number of possible ways an outcome can occur divided by the total number of outcomes.
  • Students conduct an experiment - The addition Game - and record their results
    • Probability Packet pages 19, 23-25

    Homework:
    • Probability Packet pages 32-33
